Randall Winkler Sales Tax Division Director Alabama Department of Revenue

Randy Winkler began his career with the Alabama Department of Revenue in 1986 as a field auditor for the Miscellaneous Tax Division in Mobile, Alabama. He has worked in numerous different tax types and held various management positions within the department. Prior to being named Director of the Sales & Use Tax Division in 2017, Randy served as Assistant Director of the Business and License Tax Division. As Director of the Sales & Use Tax Division, Randy is responsible for overseeing the Tax Administration, Local Tax, Exemptions, Miscellaneous Tax, Wholesale Retail Accountability, and Assessments Sections. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Randy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Alabama.
