Matt Hardage joined Raider Nation in July 2018 as the Teacher on Assignment / Assistant Athletic Director after serving as a Social Studies Teacher and Coach at Hiram High School. At Hiram, Mr. Hardage served as the Offensive Line Coach in Football for Ten years, One year as the Tight Ends Coach, Middle School Football Director for Six years, Assistant Track Coach for Seven years, Head wrestling Coach for Two Years, and the Head JV Baseball Coach for Two Years. Prior to Hiram High School, Mr. Hardage spent Five years at McEachern High School where he taught in the Social Studies Department and served as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach for Four Years and One year as the Assistant Defensive Line Coach as well as serving as the Middle School Program Director. He also coached Boys Lacrosse for Two years. Mr. Hardage received his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Science Education in 2000 from Kennesaw State University, his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2009, and his Education Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University in 2018. The Powder Springs, GA native is married to the former Christian Griffith and they have been blessed with two sons named Jackson (4) and Griffith (2).
