Coach Hirschfield is entering his first year as the East Paulding Raiders Head Football Coach this sea son. Previously, he was the Walton Raiders Offensive Coordinator the past 5 seasons (2017-2021) where the Wal ton Raider Offense set numerous school records in 2017, 2018 and 2021. In 2017, the offense had school highs in both yards per game and point per game/season averaging 40 point per game and led the state averaging over 505 points per game. In 2018, the Walton offense led the state all classification in passing, amassing over 3200 passing yards in the season. In 2021, the offense finished in the top 3 in all major categories including points per game and total yards in a season and advancing to the Class 7a Final Four, for only the second time in school history. In the 5 years spent at Walton, they averaged a total of 36 points per game with a record of 43-19 with four straight Sweet Sixteen appearances before the Final Four season. Coach Hirschfield is 123-29 as an Offensive Coordinator over 12 seasons. His coaching career began as he was the OC/Asst Head Coach at Madison Academy in Huntsville, Alabama for six seasons (2010-2016). The Mus tangs won 5 Region Titles, 2011 3a State Runner Ups, and continued to win three consecutive 3A State Champi onships (2012, 2013, 2014). During the 6-year span as OC, he guided the offense to averaging 42 points per game with a record of 63-6. The 2014 offense set and still holds Alabama state records for points in a single season (722); Points in a State Championship (70); Total Rushing yards (4,450) and Total yards in a season (6,500). In 2016, he took the same post as Offensive Coordinator for the Elbert County Blue Devils in Elberton, Geor gia for a single season before taking the Walton OC job. At Elbert County, the offense led the state in Rushing (3,900) while going 7-4 and qualifying for the State Playoffs.
Chris was born in Marietta, GA and grew up in Woodstock, GA attending Etowah HS from 2001-2003. He finished his high school career in Jackson, TN at JCS (2003 2005), where he was a 2-Time All-State QB and All West TN Player of the Year. He played college football as QB at Murray State University for the 2005-2006 season, before transferring to the University of West Georgia to play his 3 other years and graduating in 2010 with a Health/PE Degree. He has two amazing children: Mason his 7 year old Son and Palmer his 4 year old Daughter. His amazing Girlfriend, Erin Corbin, teaches Math and coaches Lacrosse at Lassiter HS in Marietta, GA.
