I've always used the Krewe of Red Beans as a force for good. We don't have tons of money, but we have lots of people who are game for a seemingly silly idea. Why New Orleans? This is the only place I can imagine living. A vibrant culture created on our streets — for us, by us, enjoyed by many others. Describe your vision for our future. I'd love to see our city invest in her people in meaningful ways. I believe we should focus on making quality of life better for residents (tourists will enjoy that too). Better schools, more playgrounds, and farmers markets in more neighborhoods. Above all, not settling for anything less.
