THINGS WE ADORE

Nola Boards has more than just gorgeous custom wood products. From the Honey Bar – its new tasting bar featuring honeys from around the state – to its Boards & Beverages classes that teach guests how to shake up the perfect cocktail, the Magazine Street shop is quickly becoming the destination for a fun night out. nolaboards.com

Sukeban, a Japanese style izakaya, is taking Oak Street by storm with its specialty temaki hand-rolls and intimate digs. The menu is small but mighty and offers authentic options featuring local seafood and ingredients. Helmed by Jacqueline Blanchard of the curated knife shop Coutelier, Sukeban is the ideal spot for experiencing fascinating flavors in a chic yet casual setting. barsukeban.com Photo Credit: Ian McNulty
