The historic home had always been their venue of choice and was the perfect backdrop for the big day. The group mingled, ate, and danced under a clear tent, which was decorated with simple string lights, taper candles, and tall leafy centerpieces. fireworks display (courtesy of NOMA's Odyssey Ball, which was happening simultaneously), the evening was an apparent success. Chris and Alex spent time onstage with the band, as did Alex's father who — a natural performer by all accounts — stole the show. The dance floor was consistently full and when the reception was over, the party continued. Led by the Young Pin Stripe Brass Band in a second line, the grooms and their guests boarded a streetcar and enjoyed the ride to the French Quarter for continued revelry.
