FROM THE EDITOR
A n American city this diverse and rich in culture is made for world- class journalism. There are so many stories to tell. And as much as I love to jump online for a quick reference or read, there is nothing quite like the printed news and a cup of coffee for me. They go hand in hand. I love when imaginative photography jumps off the page and community driven stories are told as they unfold over time. As we celebrate our history and look to the future, there is so much about New Orleans to be proud of in a multitude of arenas. We're so extra and I'm excited to read all about it. In this issue of Adore , we spotlight the boutique hotel The Eliza Jane, fondly named after Eliza Jane Nicholson, the groundbreaking publisher of the historic Daily Picayune . The 19th century warehouses that once housed the newspaper's offices have been renovated to perfection. And oh what stories those beautifully restored brick walls can tell! And speaking of carefully preserved living history, several alluring French Quarter buildings are bustling with Bevolo Gas and Electric Lighting's use of modern energy. There's a distinct vibrancy in town right now, and as we kick off the Fall football season, there's one thing I know for sure – it's the Saints all the way!
