I think wrapping something special for someone is part of the gift. A fun source for wrapping paper is finding an image of a favorite painting or poem. The flower and citrus embellishments that I used here can double as a gift card. I also like the challenge of repurposing elements like the ribbons from tattered fabric. Little charms like the bells add a touch of enchantment. It's fun creating some magic to share.

As an artist, I try to bring that handmade touch to my gift wrap. I enjoy thoughtfully wrapping presents, taking the time to appreciate and be grateful for the gifts we are about to give and receive. Here, I used my original gift wrap paper adorned with one of my handmade felt bird ornaments and candy cane colored ribbon. My wrap represents my youthful excitement for the holidays along with my love of homemade and handmade gifts.

Wrapping a present beautifully is just as important to me as the gift itself, because it is a wonderful way to show someone that you really care. I often pick a theme that suits the recipients and use embellishments in the ribbon that lead to the main gift enclosed. It builds excitement. Here, Italian silk screened wrapping papers are a beautiful base for accessories that are part of a perfect gift.
