F or Ware Porter and Jordi Land, December is filled with lots of travel, both for work and fun, and trips back to their hometowns at Christmas. So they keep their at-home holiday entertaining low-key and relaxed. "We love dinner parties, casual get-togethers where everyone hangs out in the kitchen, and our living room has seen its share of cocktails," says Ware. With rooms this pretty and inviting, I can easily see how friends and family feel right at home. As an interior decorator, Ware knows exactly how to design living spaces that are timeless, luxurious, and comfortable. In their house, a Colonial Georgian in a leafy Uptown neighborhood, Ware uses bold color, custom upholstery, and period antiques for a distinctive look that's loaded with personality and whimsical charm. The entrance foyer is a bright and happy hello that introduces the first of many strong colors we'll see throughout the house.
