Edible Evening returns to its original location, Samuel J. Green Charter School, for its 15th year celebration on Friday, April 8. Sample delicious fare by 15 restaurants, indulge in exclusive wines by Presqu'ile and a specialty cocktail from Cure, and enjoy live music at the fundraising event. Wednesday at the Square, sponsored by the Young Leadership Council of New Orleans, returns with its free outdoor concert series. The weekly concerts take place from 5-8 p.m. at Lafayette Square Park and feature local artists and a variety of indigenous musical styles. Queen Nefertari's Egypt , NOMA's latest exhibition, brings the role of Queen Nefertari and other great royal wives, sisters, daughters, and mothers of pharaohs to life. Visitors will learn about her significant influence and have the opportunity to see 230 items including jewelry, papyrus, wooden coffins, and stone sarcophagi.
