teddy bear tea

The halls of the storied Roosevelt Hotel are decked and bedazzled with lacquered white branches, poinsettias, and magnolia leaves laden with lights. The tea – with pastries, hot chocolate, and mimosas for mom and dad – is an elegant way to celebrate with the grands. Reserve early as this event is always a holiday favorite.

Celebration In The Oaks

This "only in New Orleans" event spotlights our rich heritage under the majestic oaks of City Park. It is truly one of the most spectacular holiday lighting shows in the country. Thousands of lights swath the park creating a magical winter extravaganza that draws visitors from near and far.

The Nutcracker Ballet This tried and true ballet encompasses all of the wonders of the season. Tchaikovsky, Clara and Fritz, sugar plum fairies, and gingerbread men delight audiences of all ages. The New Orleans Ballet Theatre's production performed in the historic Orpheum Theater is one of the most beautiful treats imaginable.
