MARY COLLINS BAND SECRETARY
Mary Collins is currently in her 28th year at ECHS and her 26th year as the Band Secretary. Originally from Stafford, Kansas, Mrs. Collins graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science. When she’s not at school working with band, she’s busy celebrating newborn babies with her company, Welcome Storks. Serving Newnan, Peachtree City, Fayetteville and surrounding areas, Welcome Storks are 6-foot tall stork signs that announce to friends and neighbors that a precious baby has arrived. JAMES CHRISTIANSEN ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF BANDS
James Christiansen is in his third year as band director at Lee Middle School after serving as band director for nineteen years in the Houston County School System.Mr. Christiansen is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree. He also holds a Master of Music Education degree from Auburn University and an Educa- tion Specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. Mr. Christiansen was a marching member of Magic of Orlando and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Christiansen is an active tubist in the Middle Georgia Area. He is a charter member of Wellston Winds, and is co-founder of Camp ExtravaBANDza! summer music camp. His bands have earned consistent superior ratings at their yearly performance evaluations. Mr. Christiansen is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, NAfME, and Georgia Music Educators Association where he has served as Honor Band Clinic Organizer, Band Chair and Vice District Chair for District Eleven. Mr. Christiansen and his wife, Donna, enjoy spending time with their dogs, traveling during the summer, and attending Georgia Southern Football games in the fall. They are currently dreaming of their next travel adventure.
TEDDY SULLIVAN COLOR GUARD COORDINATOR
Teddy Sullivan is currently in his 21st year as Color Guard Coordinator at ECHS and has been instructing in the Atlanta area for over 30 years. While at East Coweta, the Marching Indians color guard has consistently received superior ratings as well as multiple first place rankings. The cadet winter guard has been the gold medalist in the Southern Association for Performance Arts (SAPA) for 18 of the past nineteen years. The Junior Varsity winter guard is a five time SAPA Medalist and the Varsity winter guard is the current SAPA Gold Medalist. Under his direction the varsity winter guard has been a Winter Guard International (WGI) Regional Finalist for 19 years, a seven time WGI National Semi Finalist and a three time WGI Na- tional Finalist. The Winter guard is the 2011 Pensacola WGI Regional Champion, the 2016 and 2018 Atlanta WGI Regional Champion as well as the Southeast WGI regional champion. Mr. Sullivan attended Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the Marching Southerners. He was also a member of the DCI Finalist “Madison Scouts” Drum Corps from Madison Wisconsin.
