ECHS Assistant Principals

DR. MONICA NELSON currently serves as Assistant Principal. She oversees the Fine Arts, Business, and Family & Consumer Sciences programs. Dr. Nelson brings 17 years of educa- tional experience to East Coweta High School. She has served as a high school teacher and CTAE Department Chair. She continues to serve as an ETS/GACE Test Developer. Dr. Nel- son has earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences and Master, Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership. She is certified in the fields of Family & Consumer Sciences, Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership.

AMY WESTBROOK currently serves as an Assistant Principal at East Coweta High School. She is responsible for 9th grade discipline and oversees the teachers in the ninth-grade build- ing. Dr. Westbrook brings 21 years of experience to East Coweta High School. She served as both a high-school and middle school teacher, instructor, and department chair. Dr. Westbrook earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Westbrook is certified in Mathematics (grades 7-12). Dr. Westbrook and her husband, Adam, enjoy spending time with their family.

Stefanie Easterwood currently serves as Assistant Principal of East Coweta High School. She is responsible for 12th grade discipline and oversees the Exceptional Students’ De- partment. Mrs. Easterwood brings 25 years of educational experience to East Coweta High School. She has served as a middle school teacher, high school teacher, Science Depart- ment Chairperson, and as an In-School Special Education Coordinator. Mrs. Easterwood has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership. Mrs. Easterwood is certified in the fields of Broad Field Science and Special Education. Mrs. Easterwood and her husband, Adam, have two daughters, Emily and Brianna, and a son-in-law, Jesse. She loves spending time with her family and supporting her students and staff at East Coweta High School.
