Stephen Allen is beginning his 9th year as Principal at East Coweta High School; however, he is not new to the /ndian Zeservation. &rom 1ϵϵϳ to 200ϱ, Mr. Allen taught special education here at East Coweta before moving to Smokey Zoad Middle School as an assistant principal from 200ϱ to 200ϳ. He then spent the next seven years as an assistant principal and Athletic Director at Eewnan High School from 200ϳ to 201ϰ. Dekima Leaphart currently serves as an Assistant Principal at East Coweta high. Mrs. Leaphart brings 1ϯ years of educational experience to East Coweta High School. Coach sandiver is in his 21st year as an ECHS /ndian. He received his B.S. and M.Ed from Eorth 'eorgia College in Zecreation Administration and Health and Physical Education and his ED. S in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. /n addition to being the Assistant Athletic Director, Coach sandiver also serves as Assistant 'olf Coach. He has forty years of coaching experience which have produced a state runnerͲup and State Championship at East Hall High School in Basketball. Before becoming the head coach at South 'win neƩ he served as Defensive Coordinator and assistant principal at Kconee County High School from 2002Ͳ200ϰ. Prior to that he served as an assistant at South 'winneƩ High School from 1ϵϵϵͲ2001, and an assistant coach at the Uni versity of test 'eorgia from 1ϵϵϳͲ1ϵϵ8. INDIANS Coach Horan is a native of Eorfolk, sirginia, and aƩended 'ranby High School where he leƩered in track and football. He began his college career at Christopher Eewport University where he majored in biology and played middle linebacker for the CEU Cap tains football team and was a part of the USA South conference champions in 2006. Coach Horan continued his education and completed his undergraduate in Health and Physical Education from Kld Dominion University in 201ϳ and his master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from Lagrange College in 2020. His coaching career began in 2018 as the head football and track coach at Arnall Middle School in Coweta County where their team won backͲtoͲback county football championships in 201ϵ and 2020. /n 2021, Coach Horan began coaching football and track at &ayeƩe County High School and was promoted to head strength and conditioning coach as well as the defensive coordinator for the football team in the spring of 2022. Coach Holt is in his Įrst season as the Kīensive Coordinator for the East Coweta /ndians. He has previously been a coordinator at Harris County, saldosta, and Troup County High Schools. He brings with him over eight years of coordinator experience to the /ndians sideline. /n 201ϳ he led Troup County High school to be the 2 nd in Passing zards for the entire state with ϰ,0ϰ2 yards in the air. The following year of 2018 Troup Įnished the season as the 2nd in the state in Total zards and reached the SemiͲ&i nals with a 12Ͳ2 record. /n 201ϵ at saldosta the wildcats Įnished 1st in total points in AAAAAA ClassiĮcation averaging ϯϵ points per game. They also Įnished the season ϱ th in total passing yards in the entire state. Last year at Harris County High school he lead the oīense to Įnish 10 th in the state in all classiĮcations in total yards for the season. Mr. Zonald Steinhelfer is starting his ϱth year of teaching and 8th year of coaching. 2022 will mark his 2nd season at East Coweta as their tide Zeceivers coach. ͞Coach Stein͟ coached ϯ years of high school football at Lowndes High School and ϯ years at Crisp County High School aŌer he served 10 years in the United States Air &orce. He took the tight end and HͲbacks job at Crisp County High School in 2018 before being promoted to Kīensive Coordinator for the 2020 season. Coach Stein graduated in 2008 from Bellefontaine High School in Khio, Bowling 'reen State University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Technology, and the University of test 'eorgia in 2022 with a master’s of Art and Teaching degree in Teacher Education . Todd CraŌon is currently teaching his 1ϰth year at East Coweta High School, focusing on Computer Science. Kverall, this is his 1ϱth year teaching aŌer graduating from 'eorgia Tech and 'eorgia State. AŌer previously serving as a lacrosse coach for both boys and girls, he joined the football staī for the Įrst time as Director of &ootball Kperations in 2018, and has loved every minute of it. Larry Zobertson is beginning his 2ϳth season as the ͞soice of the /ndians.͟ He took over the announcing duties in 1ϵϵϱ from his brother, tayne who was the ͞soice of the /ndians͟ for 2ϯ seasons ;1ϵϳϯͲϵϱͿ. Larry is an alumnus of ECHS ;1ϵϳϰͿ and a former football player ;1ϵϳ0ͲϳϯͿ. He is also an alumnus of the University of test 'eorgia ;1ϵϳϵͿ and is a member of the Coweta County Board of Education, District 1, At Large ;2012ͲpresentͿ. He is married to his high school sweetheart, :anet Zobertson, who is also an alumnus of ECHS ;1ϵϳϰͿ and who recently retired from the Coweta County School System. Coach Ingram is beginning her fourth school year at ECHS as the Head Ath letic Trainer. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Point University in 2016, where she was a collegiate cross country runner. She then earned her Masters Degree in Athletic Training from Life University in 2018. Her love for Athletic Training came from being a college athlete and working through injuries with her athletic trainers throughout college. Allison and her husband Hunter moved to Luthersville from Canton so that they could both work at ECHS. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband and their beloved dog, Brody.

JODI GUESS HEAD CHEERLEADING COORDINATOR/ HEAD VARSITY COMPETITION

Mrs. Jodi Guess is starting her 18 th year of teaching and coaching and entering her 9 th year at East Coweta High School. Here at ECHS, the Varsity competitive team has won the Re gion Title four times ( 2015 , 2016, 2017 , 2019 ) and placed in the top 6 at the state cheerlead ing championship several times in the previous years. She was the Region 6AAA Coach of the year in 2009 , 2012, and the Region 2AAAAAAA Coach of the year in 2015 , 2016, 2017 , and 2019 . She graduated from the University of W est Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and P hysical Education and has her Masters in Educational Administration from W alden University. She is looking forward to another successful year for all of the ECHS cheerleading sq uads. Coach Guess is a former graduate of McI ntosh High School. She is married to Kevin Guess and they have a beautiful sassy 10 year old daughter, Avery, who attends school at W illis Rd. Elementary. Go I ndians!

KAYLEE BREWER HEAD JV COMPETITION/SIDELINE ASSISTANT

Mrs. Kaylee Brewer has been teaching and coaching cheerleading at ECHS for 6 years. As a former I ndian, Kaylee cheered on the Varsity Coed Competition team her freshman year before transferring to Sandy Creek High School where she graduated from in 2011. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Georgia in May of 2016 and her Master’s degree from Kennesaw State University in May of 2019 . Kaylee is a Special Education teacher in the self-contained classroom setting where she teaches students in grades 9 -12. Kaylee currently lives in Grantville with her husband, Hayden, and their newborn daughter, Raelynn. She loves coaching and is so excited for this season! Go I ndians!

KELLEY ROSALES HEAD VARSITY SIDELINE/COMPETITION ASSISTANT

EC math teacher and GA Tech graduate, Kelley Rosales has been teaching and coaching cheerleading for over nine years. She has her masters and specialist degrees in education from Lagrange College. Coach Rosales has experience in coaching JV and Varsity football, basketball, and competitive cheer teams. She will also be coaching the Varsity sideline for the 2020-2021 school year. She has two daughters, Aurora and Luna.

HALEIGH TIERMAN HEAD JV SIDELINE/COMPETITION ASSISTANT

Mrs. Haleigh Tierman has been teaching at ECHS for three years in their Family and Con sumer Sciences department. She graduated from East Coweta High School in 2012. This will be her second year working with the ECHS cheer program as the Head JV sideline coach and Assistant JV competition coach. She graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in FCS-Human Development & Family Sciences and is currently working towards a Master’s in Education. Haleigh and her husband, Kevin, live in Grantville with their two dogs Jax and Lucy. She is very excited to continue teaching and coaching at her former high school!

INDIANS

The East Coweta Marching Indians have brought national and international recognition to the citizens of Coweta County. They have performed in prestigious events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades; The Lord Mayor of Westminster’s New Year’s Day Celebration in London, England; the Waikiki Holiday Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii; the New Year’s Day Parade in Rome, Italy; the Disneyland Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Hollywood Christmas Parade, both in Los Angeles, California. The Marching Indians have been awarded many Grand Championships and Best in Class awards, and have been a Bands of America Regional finalist since 2010. In addition to the Marching Indians, the ECHS Band Program offers three concert bands, a jazz band, three winterguards, an indoor percussion ensemble, and many small chamber ensembles throughout the year. This year, the Marching Indians will be presenting “American Nostalgia.” Drum Majors Sheridan Bock-Martinez, Kaytlynn DeWinter, and Eliza Thomas will be leading the 130 Marching Indians through numerous half-time performances, competitions, and parades. -ames &hristiansen is in his third \ear as band director at /ee Middle 6chool after serving as band director for nineteen \ears in the +ouston &ount\ 6chool 6\stem.Mr. &hristiansen is a graduate of *eorgia 6outhern 8niversit\ where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree. +e also holds a Master of Music (ducation degree from Auburn 8niversit\ and an (duca tion 6Secialist degree from *eorgia 6outhwestern 6tate 8niversit\. Mr. &hristiansen was a marching member of Magic of 2rlando and the &avaliers 'rum and Bugle &orSs. Mr. &hristiansen is an active tubist in the Middle *eorgia Area. +e is a charter member of :ellston :inds and is co-founder of &amS ([travaBA1']a summer music camS. +is bands have earned consistent suSerior ratings at their \earl\ Serformance evaluations. 7edd\ 6ullivan is currentl\ in his 21st \ear as &olor *uard &oordinator at (&+6 and has been instructing in the Atlanta area for over 30 \ears. :hile at (ast &oweta the Marching Indians color guard has consistentl\ received suSerior ratings as well as multiSle first Slace ranNings. 7he cadet winter guard has been the gold medalist in the 6outhern Association for 3erformance Arts 6A3A for 1 of the Sast nineteen \ears. 7he -unior 9arsit\ winter guard is a five time 6A3A Medalist and the 9arsit\ winter guard is the current 6A3A *old Medalist. 8nder his direction the varsit\ winter guard has been a :inter *uard International :*I Regional )inalist for 1 \ears a seven time :*I 1ational 6emi )inalist and a three time :*I 1a tional )inalist. 7he :inter guard is the 2011 3ensacola :*I Regional &hamSion the 201 and 201 Atlanta :*I Regional &hamSion as well as the 6outheast :*I regional chamSion.
