Robert 2wens is in his twent\-first \ear as 'irector of Bands at (ast &oweta +igh 6chool in 6harSsburg *eorgia. 3rior to that Mr. 2wens was the Assistant 'irector of Bands for two \ears at McIntosh +igh 6chool in 3eachtree &it\ *eorgia and three \ears at 6tarr¶s Mill +igh 6chool in )a\etteville *eorgia. A native of &alhoun *eorgia Mr. 2wens graduated from &alhoun +igh 6chool and received his Bach elor 'egree in Music (ducation from -acNsonville 6tate 8niversit\ in -acNsonville Alabama. At -68 he belonged to the :ind (nsemble and the A &aSella &hoir as well the ³Marching 6outherners.´ In 1 0 Mr. 2wens marched with the '&I finalist ³6Sirit of Atlanta´ 'rum and Bugle &orSs under the direction of 7am +. (asterwood who was then the 'irector of Bands at (ast &oweta +igh 6chool.
