FOOTBALL COACHES
Coach John Small enters his 6th season at East Coweta High School and 24th season overall aŌer previously serving as the Head Coach at South 'winneƩ High School from 200ϱͲ2016. Before becoming the head coach at South 'win neƩ he served as Defensive Coordinator and assistant principal at Kconee County High School from 2002Ͳ200ϰ. Prior to that he served as an assistant at South 'winneƩ High School from 1ϵϵϵͲ2001, and an assistant coach at the Uni versity of test 'eorgia from 1ϵϵϳͲ1ϵϵ8. Coach Small is excited about being a part of the /ndian Eation and looks forward to continuing to build relationships within this great community. His overall philosophy is to create an environment where young people desire to do their best, both on and oī the Įeld. Coach Small and his wife :ulie have been married for 2ϯ years and have two daughters͖ Ashton a Senior at the University of test 'eorgia and Emma a &reshman at COACH JOHN SMALL HEAD COACH Coach tashington is entering his 1ϰth year on the sidelines for the /ndians af ter spending one season as an assistant at :eī Davis High School in Alabama. He will oversee the development of the defensive secondary. AŌer graduating from Spalding High School in 200ϯ, where he played football and baseball. He con tinued his playing career at Morehead State University and Auburn University Montgomery. Coach tashington obtained his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education, his Masters in COACH ANDY WASHINGTON HEAD COACH INDIANS Coach Horan is a native of Eorfolk, sirginia, and aƩended 'ranby High School where he leƩered in track and football. He began his college career at Christopher Eewport University where he majored in biology and played middle linebacker for the CEU Cap tains football team and was a part of the USA South conference champions in 2006. Coach Horan continued his education and completed his undergraduate in Health and Physical Education from Kld Dominion University in 201ϳ and his master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from Lagrange College in 2020. His coaching career began in 2018 as the head football and track coach at Arnall Middle School in Coweta County where their team won backͲtoͲback county football championships in 201ϵ and 2020. /n 2021, Coach Horan began coaching football and track at &ayeƩe County High School and was promoted to head strength and conditioning coach as well as the defensive coordinator for the football team in the spring of 2022. Coach Horan will be returning to Coweta County as a member of the East Coweta staī and will be coaching tight ends and teaching health and physical education. Coach Horan enjoys football, baseball, golf, and weight liŌing as well as spending time with his wife,
