Meet our Speakers
Candace Murbach is the Family Medicine Residency Program Director and Director of Graduate Medical Education for 10 residency and fellowship programs at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida. She has worked in graduate medical education since 2009 after taking a job in Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Pueblo, Colorado. Immediately prior to moving to Orange Park, Dr. Murbach worked in Savannah, Georgia as the Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She also served as Clinical Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Memorial University Medical Center and was Associate Professor and Vice-Chair in Family Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine. Before entering into academic medicine, Dr. Murbach worked in her family medicine office in Huntertown, Indiana serving over 5,000 patients for 14 years. Dr. Murbach has been active in promoting family medicine through service and was an officer and ultimately President of the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians from 2010 to 2015. She served on the Colorado State Immunization task force during that time period and has received several grants to champion immunizations in children. In 2013, Dr. Murbach was honored with the Colorado Academy of Family Physician’s Educator of the year award. Dr. Murbach has always practiced full scope family medicine and strives to improve the health of the community she serves and to provide care to underserved populations. She co-founded the Street Medicine Healthcare for the Homeless Program in Savannah, Georgia in 2016.
