Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the grave. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us . . .He was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification” (Romans 5:8, 4:25). This doesn’t mean that a person is automatically saved. We are not all going “to the same place.” We must individually respond to God’s provision. Admit you are a sinner. “If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8). Believe that Jesus died and rose for you. “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved . . . (Acts 16:31). Confess your faith in Him. “Confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved . . . For by grace you have been saved through faith” (Romans 10:9, Ephe- sians 2:8). It is now time to consider these questions. Do you understand what you have just read? Is there anything that hinders you from receiving God’s gift of salvation? Are you willing to place your faith in Jesus now? “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved . . . Behold, now is the ‘the day of salvation’” (Romans 10:13, 2 Corinthians 6:2). Read these words and see if they say what you’d like to pray to God. Dear God, I know that Jesus isYour Son, and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness. I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord.ThankYou for saving me, in Jesus’ name, amen.
