VI. Discrimination/Harassment/Anti-Retaliation
AURIA is committed to providing a professional work environment free of all forms of discrimination and conduct that could be considered harassing, coercive or disruptive, including unlawful harassment. The diversity of the Company’s Employees is a tremendous asset. The Company strongly opposes any attempts to restrict the development of the productive potential of any individual and will not tolerate any illegal discrimination or harassment of any kind. This commitment continues AURIA’s long-standing policy to offer fair and equal opportunity to every person regardless of race, sex, color, veteran status, national origin, religion, physical or mental disability, age, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. In addition, it is the policy of AURIA to comply with federal, state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment at each AURIA location. The Company strives to provide a safe and healthy work environment for its Employees. Each Employee has responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all Employees by following health and safety rules and practices and reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe equipment, practices or conditions. Violence or threatening behavior is not permitted under any circumstances in the workplace. Employees should report to work in condition to perform their duties, and must not be under the influence of illegal drugs and/or alcohol. The use of illegal drugs or the misuse of alcohol or legally prescribed drugs in the workplace will not be tolerated. Additionally, Employees are required to adhere to all other health and safety policies. Firearms are prohibited on any of the Company's premises.
