THE LIFEGATE STORY

LifeGate Church began as a dream in the heart of our founding Pastors, Tony & Sheryll Ashmore, to see people’s lives transformed by the life-giving message of Jesus and His church. With the help of our original launch team of 30 people, that dream became a reality on February 8, 2004. That Sunday, 176 people attended our frst service as The Church At Mirror Lake at our original location (now, The Chapel) 1/2 mile from our current facility. In our frst fve years, we grew to over 600 in attendance and built our current building. In 2008, we moved into our new facilities and changed our name to LifeGate Church, with a vision to not just be a church for Villa Rica, to be a regional church, with campuses in the West Georgia area. From the beginning, we have focused on reaching beyond the walls of the building and extending the Kingdom, both locally and internationally. From year one, every year, we invest at least 10% of our income into missions. In 2010, we launched our frst campus and have since launched another local campus and helped fund two church plants in Niger, Africa and Burkina Faso, Africa. In 2016, Michael & Amy Adams became Senior Pastors & Pastors Tony & Sheryll transitioned to Founding & Oversight Pastors. Today, over a thousand people call LifeGate Church home, and we are continuing to make an impact around the globe.
