CHAPTER EIGHT
MEET SOME OF THE POETS, THEIR POEMS & THEIR STORIES:
Yvonne Walters Hubertandy62@gmail.com
I began reading poetry when I was in the third grade. It was part of the curriculum in my elementary school. After taking my first poetry class in college and becoming exposed to the different styles of different poets, I developed a growing desire to write. While reading the poems I would cling on to every word, imagery, tone and rhythm and delve into deep reflection. Poetry to me is soothing as well as uplifting and the sounds and imagery stretches the imagination without limit. You can write what you are feeling deep in your soul. My inspiration for writing comes from anything I see and hear around in my daily wake. Images of the landscape, a walk in the forest, observing the lake or a river as it flows, the ocean moving the mighty waves to shore, gives me inspiration as well. Music also inspires me to write. I like to write about positives and themes with a lighthearted touch.
