n avid golfer selected his club and stepped anxiously onto the tee of a par three. Since the hole required a shot over water, he pulled an old, scarred, discolored ball out of his bag and prepared to hit it. Suddenly, a voice from heaven said, “use a new ball.” Dumbfounded, the guy asked his buddies if they heard a voice.When they said no, he stood over his old ball a second time. Once again, a voice rang out, “use a new ball.” Reluctantly, the golfer went to his bag and pulled out a brand new ball of the highest quality—the kind the profession- als use. And then, for a third time, the words rang out, “take a practice swing.” Immediately, the man reached back and fol- lowed through, digging out a huge hunk of turf in the process.
