COACHES
JAY SNEDDON HEAD COACH
Coach Sneddon enters his 4th season as the Spartans Head Coach. He has compiled a 59 – 22 record in his first three seasons, including playoff appearances, and a birth to the sweet-sixteen in 2019. Thirteen Spartans have gone on to play collegiately during Coach Sneddon’s tenure at South. Coach Sneddon has been coaching high school baseball for 26 years, and has served as the head coach at Mt. Paran, Mt. Zion, and Villa Rica prior to coming to South Paulding. He is a graduate of the University of West Georgia, and has a master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. Coach Sneddon has been awarded the GHSA All-Region coach of the year and recognized by the Times-Georgian as the All-Area Coach of the year. Coach Sneddon has served as the Director of the John Smoltz Baseball Camp and has mentored many collegiate and professional baseball players. Coach Sneddon has 2 daughters: Jordan (18) and Alana (10)
CHRIS ADAIR ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Adair enters his 4th season with the Spartans. He serves as the Pitching Coach and first base coach. Coach Adair was recognized by the Georgia Dugout Club as the Assistant Coach of the Year in 2018.
CHAD MATHEWS ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Mathews joins the Spartans this year after previous stops at Manchester, Heard County, and La- Fayette. He also serves as the Assistant Head Wrestling Coach for the Spartans. He resides with his wife (Amy) and two sons (Grayson – 7 and Hudson – 2) in Bremen.
JASON CHATHAM ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Chatham is entering his 3rd season as an Assistant Coach for the Spartans. He has been a head travel ball coach for over 10 years. He lives with his wife, son and daughter in Hiram.
BRIAN MEADOWS ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Meadows is entering his 3rd season as an Assistant Coach for the Spartans. He has been a travel ball coach for over 10 years. He is a graduate from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Sports Management. He lives with is wife, son and daughter in Hiram.
