In Memory of Jim Sneddon Jim Sneddon loved baseball. Whether it was early call times for double headers, summer ball on hot Georgia days, or chatting on the phone about scores and standings late into the night, he took in everything baseball had to offer. For Jim it was not just a passion - baseball was a way to connect with his community, and the ones he loved. As a player himself, and an umpire of many years, Jim made it his life’s mission to be an example of fair play, even temper, and good sportsmanship on and off the field. He was an example not just to the players on his diamonds, but also to his children - of which Coach Sneddon was one - and grandchildren.

He passed away last year, leaving us to join his dear wife Carolyn and his brothers and sisters, and the world has been a little quieter ever since. While every

one who knew him aches for his passing, his memory is

carried in the lives of everyone he touched over his life. Young men and women who became father and mothers, athletes who achieved at the highest levels, or those who sought paths outside of the fences - all of them changed and made better by his example. He was one of a kind.
