Each day, they strive to be “Better Today than Yesterday,” embodying the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines Temple High School. This season promises to be filled with thrilling moments, outstanding performances, and unforgettable experiences. Thank you for joining us tonight in support of our Temple High students. Whether they are members of our award-winning band, the cheerleading squad, or the football team, we are proud of their dedication and are pleased to showcase their talents tonight. There is nothing like dancing along with our band as they play our fight song, seeing the glow of the Friday Night Lights off our helmets, and watching our cheerleaders cheer the Tigers on to victory. Allow me to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the members of the Carroll County Board of Education, specifically our Temple Board of Education member and BOE Vice-Chair, Mrs. Sandra Morris, as well as our Superintendent, Mr. Scott Cowart for their investments in our facilities and their ongoing support for our staff and students. It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of Temple High School. As a school, we are committed to providing our students with a premier high school experience. We are honored to be able to offer premier learning experiences beyond the classroom, through the participation of our student-athletes and band members. I also want to acknowledge our Temple community, as we are thankful for the support we get from all our extended Temple family. Our community is committed to out-working, out-playing, and out-performing all of our competitors! As we come together to support our Tigers, let’s remember the pride and tradition that bind us as a community.
Thank you for being here and for being an integral part of the Temple High School family. Let’s make this season unforgettable.

T . H . S . History Temple played its first football game on September 17, 1988. Dreams had became a reality. The first Temple team played a JV Schedule and was undefeated. Temple had no football field, and from 1988 through 1991 home games were played at Villa Rica, Central or Mt. Zion. A group of dedicated Temple supporters, led by THS principal Denzil Rogers, worked tirelessly laying sod, tying rebar, driving dump trucks and frontend loaders to make the dream of Temple Football Stadium become a reality. The stadium was completed in 1992, and the first home game was played on October 23rd, 1992. That night the stadium was named Rogers Stadium in honor of Denzil Rogers, who dared to dream, plan, build and achieve. Not only did the Temple Community of parents, teachers and supporters build the stadium, they also raised money to pay for it. They spent countless hours working a concession stand at Atlanta Braves games, selling raffle tickets and holding other fundraisers. This football season marks the 32nd anniversary of this accomplishment. Rogers Stadium is truly an example of a school and community working together to achieve a goal.
