GETTING A LIBRARY CARD A library card is free with a photo ID if: • you live in Georgia • you attend a school in Georgia • you work in Georgia • you own property in Georgia

LIBBY – Access over 15,000 free eBooks, eAudiobooks, and e-magazines, for all ages.

MANGO LANGUAGES – This is a language learning app with over 70 languages to choose from and lessons that emphasize conversations. Free access through the library. BEANSTACK – Join in our Beanstack challenges for all ages, including adults! Even when it’s not during the Summer Reading Program, we have challenges in which you can participate. wgrls.org/beanstack.org/reader365

You can use your library card at any of the 300 Pines libraries in the state of Georgia! You get everything the library offers including books, DVD’s, park passes, public computers, and so much more. If you happen to lose your card, we can replace it for free!

MONTHLY PROGRAMS Feel free to contact the library to be sure these events will still be occurring, as things can change at a moment’s notice.

FAMILY: Chess Club: Mondays at 4:30 PM

CHILDREN: Little Listeners Story Time Tuesdays at 11:00 am For Ages 0 – 5 A time together of reading stories, singing, playing and crafts.

TEENS: Ages 12 – 17 Registration is needed for these events. *September 18th at 5pm- Tie-Dye T-Shirts *October 14th at 11am- Photography *November 6th at 5pm- Virtual Reality/Teen Community Service Event

Learn how to play chess with an instructor. Materials are provided but, feel free to bring your own chess game. Spanish Storytime: 4th Thursday of each month 11:00 am Tune in to Ms. Ida on Facebook or attend in-person as she reads children’s stories in Spanish. Saturday Storytime: 4th Saturday of the month Watch and listen as our volunteer (and educator) reads stories aloud to fellow and emerging readers.

LEVEL UP AFTER SCHOOL: Tuesdays at 3:30 pm For Ages 6 – 12 This is a drop-in program for kids interested in science ,technology, engineering, arts, and music.

*December 4th-18th- Make and Take Christmas Pillow Craft *December 18th at 4pm- Christmas Cookie Decorating and Movie

UPCOMING EVENTS

Hispanic Heritage and Multicultural Festival @ the Mill, Saturday, September 23rd, 11am-5pm. Tickets for a prize drawing are $5 each and being sold at the library. LitFest @ the Library, Saturday, November 4th, 9am-5pm. A keynote speaker will be featured after panels and workshops have concluded. Storytime with Santa- Saturday, December 9th. Taste of the Holiday- Saturday, December 16th, 11am-1pm. The theme is “Potluck”. Ages 18+. Recipe submissions due December 1st.
