HOURS OF OPERATION Monday - Thursday 9am-7pm; Friday 9am-5pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; Sunday closed.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Mission of the Villa Rica Public Library is to provide and promote open and equal access to the resources and services of the library, to meet the evolving educational, cultural, informational and recreational needs of the public, to encourage reading and the use of current technology for life-long learners.
GETTING A LIBRARY CARD A library card is free if: • you live in Georgia
POLICIES Most items check out for 2 weeks and can be renewed twice. Exceptions to this are: • DVDs & VHS – 1 week • Projectors & screens – 1 day (not available at all locations) • e-books and e-audio – 2 weeks, no renewals You can check out 50 total items but some item groups have additional limits:
• you attend school in Georgia • you work in Georgia • you own property in Georgia Anyone else can get a library card for a $25 annual fee or $12.50 for 6 months. Fill out an application and present it at a library with two forms of ID, one from each of these categories: • a government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver’s license, state ID, passport) • a printed item with your name & current address (e.g. mail, lease, check stub) You can get an application at any library or print one out to com- plete before you come in. You may also apply for an e-card, which gives you immediate access to all digital resources in the West Georgia Regional Library System. If you would like to upgrade your PINES e-card to a full library PINES card to check out books and other materials, you can bring your e-card account number and photo ID to your library. Children under 18 can get a card if a parent or guardian is with them. The parent must present the required documents for a library card (listed above) and sign their child’s card. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
