The couple met at LSU and began dating in 2015. After living in North Carolina for two years as Anna attended graduate school, they settled in Shreveport. Following their Christmas Eve engagement, they decided to wed in one of their favorite places, New Orleans. "We wanted to throw a great party, and by having it in New Orleans…it's guaranteed to be a party." Anna and Bailey wanted to keep their celebration small with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for their family and friends. They decided on Cavan by LeBlanc + Smith for its idyllic location on Magazine Street. (The beloved restaurant closed following Hurricane Ida and now operates exclusively as an event space.) For her dress, Anna recruited her friend Grace of Gretta Garments to create a short, dreamy frock. The finished design included vintage lace that was passed down from the designer's grandmother.
