After baking around town for seven years, Leo's Bread opened its first brick and mortar location this Spring and is open for breakfast and lunch five days a week. The small-scale bakery, which specializes in loaves of bread, croissants, bagels, and sandwiches, will also continue to have a table at the weekly Crescent City Farmers Market Uptown and in MidCity. leosbread.com

T. Cole Newton, the owner and proprietor of Twelve Mile Limit, brings cocktail recipes to life with a combination of invented histories and real stories in his newly released book Cocktail Dive Bar . Mini-essays can be found throughout, as well as a detailed index of ingredients and infusion recipes. Mixologists can make the book their own by coloring in the playful, graphic drawings by Bazil Zerinsky and Laura Sanders. runningpress.com

Alexandra Lemay first imagined Tipsy Pops as she floated in her pool last year and wished that her drink was frozen. She launched in early September and has kept the city cool with her handcrafted boozy popsicles made with syrups and juices featuring fresh, organic ingredients. Tipsy Pops offers porch pick-ups Uptown and free local deliveries with a purchase of $40 and more. Orders can be placed via Instagram direct message. @nolatipsypops
