Adore October 2021
FROM THE EDITOR
O ctober, for me, signifies a complete change of seasons. After the scorching summer, I'm ready for the buzz of Fall activities and crisp Autumn air. Yes, it requires some imagination if the temperatures are not fully cooperating, but I'm all in. There's something so heartwarming about all of the gatherings and experiences. The change of vibe and palette in design, fashion, and décor go a long way in creating ambience and style. I'm excited about so many upcoming events and it feels so good to be enjoying New Orleans once again. This weekend I am seeing Dear Mr. Williams at Le Petit Theatre and I've purchased my ticket to the Curtain Call Ball, their most important fundraiser. Prospect 5, which brings dynamic new art to venues all over the city, is not to be missed. For outdoor experiences, there's the Zoo- To-Do, Wednesday at the Square concert series, and Tell It To Me Sweet, a play performed at NOMA, presented by The NOLA Project. Add in the New Orleans Film Festival, restaurant re-openings such as Emeril's and Zasu, and dining all over town at outside tables (because that's where you really want to sit), and we're off to an excellent start.
