Based on these verses, observe these results enjoyed. Purified water- After graduating from college in 1980, I lived in southeast Michigan for three years. For a portion of that time, I lived in a house with a water softener.This meant that about every month or so I would pour a 40 bag of salt pellets into a tank in order to make the otherwise “hard water” suitable for drinking, bathing, etc. And though this procedure provides a great benefit, it’s not a miracle. It can be explained from a scientific standpoint. During this process, calcium and magnesium ions in hard water are ex changed for sodium ions, providing softer water. That said, what Elisha did was a miracle. Naturally speaking, there’s no way a jar full of salt could purify an entire stream. God did it. Never underestimate the Lord’s miracle working power.As the angel Gabriel told Mary, “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).
