Vira Salzburn is the Program Manager for Prevent Suicide Today program at Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council, Inc. She is a Mindful Self-Compassion, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and SafeTALK trainer. Ms. Salzburn earned a Master of Science degree in Management, Organizational Behavior & Leadership from Troy University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Humanities from Auburn University at Montgomery. Ms. Salzburn is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) with Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Group Fitness Trainer with Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Ms. Salzburn has previously presented at the 2018 Chatham County Mental Health Symposium, 2018 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference, 2019 Southeastern Behavioral Health Schools Conference, and 2019 Memorial Health 4th Annual M. Mariel Risner Sivley is the Executive Director of the Georgia Supportive Housing Association, a nonprofit organization that seeks to advance the creation and preservation of quality supportive housing in Georgia and ensure sufficient resources for this effort through education and advocacy. Supportive housing is affordable housing with services for special needs in order for individuals to live independently and thrive. The GSHA envisions a Georgia where individuals with disabilities can choose the housing and supports they need to thrive. Mariel started her career as an attorney with the Georgia Law Center for the Homeless and was the co- recipient of a Distinguished Service Award from the Atlanta Bar

Association in 2012. She also served as the volunteer coordinator for the Atlanta Long Term Care Ombudsman Program and as an Adjunct Professor for the Externship Program in the area of Public Interest Law at Emory University School of Law. She is a graduate of Emory University and the Georgia State University College of Law. Mariel has presented on the topic of supportive housing at events hosted by Georgians for a Healthy Future, National Association of Women Judges, and NAMI Georgia and is currently writing a guidebook on the recent development of permanent supportive housing in Georgia.
