Judge Sweat practiced law in Athens from 1979 until he was elected to be Judge of Superior Courts of the Western Circuit (Clarke and Oconee Counties) in 2002. In 2008, he established a mental health accountability court which assists individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse involved in the criminal justice system. In 2014, he became Chief Judge of the Western Judicial Circuit. In 2017, he retired from active service and assumed senior status. In addition to serving as a senior judge, Judge Sweat acts as an arbitrator, mediator, and special master. He serves on the Board of Advantage Behavioral Health Services. Judge Sweat enjoys barbecuing and is a Kansas City Barbecue Society Certified Barbecue Judge.

Terri Theisen is the founder and principal consultant of Theisen Consulting LLC. She has more than 30 years of executive leadership and consulting experience in the nonprofit sector. Theisen Consulting is a national management consulting firm providing strategic counsel to nonprofit organizations, grantmaking foundations, coalitions and collaboratives, membership associations, academic institutions, and government agencies throughout the United States. Theisen Consulting brings deep experience with strategic, tactical, and business planning; group facilitation and change management; board governance and effectiveness; mergers and strategic alliances; and
organizational management. Theisen Consulting provides professional services in the areas of planning, strategy formation, board development, management practices, governance, executive search, and executive coaching. Areas of experience include public health, education, human services, arts and culture, and nonprofit management. Prior to founding Theisen Consulting, Terri spent more than twenty years as a nonprofit staff leader. She served asa CEO; as vice president of two large national nonprofits where she had responsibility for the field operation ofmore than 30 affiliates; and as an internal management consultant in a large national nonprofit organization. Throughout her career, she has worked on program management, public policy, operational leadership, and strategy development. In addition to her consulting business, Terri is an active community leader. She serves on the boards of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, United Way Worldwide’s Global Women’s Leadership Council, and the SandySprings Arts Fund. Terri is an active alumna of Leadership Atlanta and is a graduate of the Diversity Leadership Academy. Terri is the 2018 recipient of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Leading a Life of Purpose Award. She is past chair of the United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council, its Women of Tocqueville Society,
