L. WORKER’S COMPENSATION
Workers’ compensation provides for medical treatment and income protection in the event you are injured on the job or contact an occupational illness. If you believe you were injured on the job or suspect you have a job-related illness, you must report immediately to your supervisor or Human Resources Department. Workers’ Compensation insurance is required by state law and is paid entirely by the Company. Accident reporting paperwork must be completed as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours from the time of the injury. Immediate reporting of work-related accidents and injuries is critical to a timely root cause investigation, necessary for compliance with current laws, and helps initiate insurance and workers compensation benefit procedures.
