N. HOURS AND PAY

This section is designed to give you a better understanding of your employment status at AURIA and to provide information on your compensation and work hours.

1. Employee Status The Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (Wage and Hour Law) determines an employee's exempt or non-exempt status based on job responsibilities. In accordance with this law, non-exempt employees must receive overtime for all hours worked over forty (40) hours per work week. 2. Hours of Work Hours of work will be established at each facility, based on the customer-demand scheduling and the need of the local facility. Your supervisor will determine your normal schedule work hours. Production needs may require employees to work more or less than their scheduled hours. 3. Overtime Pay With the exception of certain schedules, if you are a non-exempt, hourly employee, you will be paid overtime for all authorized hours in excess of forty (40) hours per work week. Check with your supervisor or HR Department to see if your schedule qualifies. Your overtime pay will be computed at a rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times your base rate of pay. If you work on a Sunday and you have worked in excess of forty-eight (48) hours in that work week or 6 consecutive straight days (Monday-Saturday), you will be paid at a rate of two (2) times your base rate. 4. Emergency Call-Back Pay for Hourly Employees Should an emergency arise requiring you to be called back in to work during hours other than your regularly scheduled work hours, you will receive a minimum of three hours pay in accordance with standard payroll practices. 5. Direct Deposit of Pay Direct deposit is required for all employees. Employees have the option to receive pay via an Auria issued Paycard or have their pay deposited directly into a checking or savings account at any financial institution, provided it accepts electronic transfers. For more information, please contact the Human Resources Department. If you work on a holiday, you will be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times your base rate of pay. This will be paid in addition to the normal scheduled holiday pay.
