I NEED A CUP OF TEA © Frank Clay Jr. I need a cup of tea! With white sugar of course... Two sugars will do!

Nothing like warming the morning And sweetening the moment... When you feel so bitter inside. That’s when I need a cup of tea! Black tea of course... The darker the better... my way to brighten the day. It’s how I feel right now... With so many things upon me... Just one cup will surely get me by I need a cup of tea! Hot... of course So I can hold it until it comforts me And warms this moment... So I can go on. So I can try... one more time.

In moments of chaos, when my life takes its toll and I find myself in a cold space. There's something in my tea cup that can fill up my soul... . at least for the moment... So I “tea up!” With each savoring sip, a restoration is found To ease the troubling thoughts... To block the mess and all the stress Just the thing to soothe...my mind. Through the warm heat waves that rises under my noise as I tip my cup closely... A sense of calmness unfurls,
