Scooter Houston – Assistant Coach Coach Houston joins the Spartan Softball staff this year as an Assistant Coach in his second year at South Paulding High School. He was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and was raised in Peachtree City, Georgia, where he graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in 2006. After high school, Coach Houston earned a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education while playing Baseball at Georgia Southwestern State University. He also earned his M.Ed in Health and Physical Education from Valdosta State Universi ty. Coach Houston’s coaching experience includes a background in Baseball and Football. He is entering his 10th year coaching Baseball at the High School Level. Prior to coming to SPHS, he spent eight years at Crisp County High School as the Outfield Coach, Co-hitting Instructor, and the Strength and Condition ing Coach. He also has five years’ experience coaching Football at the High School Level as a Linebacker/ Defensive Line Coach. Coach Houston has been married to his beautiful wife, Alisa, since 2013. They have two daughters, Brynlee (7), and Adalee (4), and are expecting their son, Huxley in November of 2022. Adam Graham - Assistant Softball and Baseball coach Coach Graham is beginning his seonnd year at South Paulding High School. Previously he was the Head Baseball and Soft ball coach at Chapel Hill High School. Under his three year tenure the Softball team won a region championship, region run ner-up and made the playoffs every year. Coach Graham lead the Panthers softball team to two sweet 16 appearances in three seasons. In 2018 he was named GACA Region 5 AAAA Coach of the Year. As the Head Coach of the Panthers Baseball team, he led way to the first playoff appearance in seven years. Coach Graham has made coaching stops at South Central Middle (2008-2012), Augusta State University (2012-2013), Haralson County High (2013-2014), Villa Rica High (2014-2016), and Chapel Hill High (2016-2021). Coach Graham is a graduate of Douglas County High School and played collegiate base ball at ABAC. He graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and completed his Master’s degree in Human Performance at Jacksonville State University. Coach Graham and his wife, Melissa, have three children Joanna (10), Clayton (7), and Wade (5).
