Derrick Coleman Deputy Commissioner of Revenue

Alabama Department of Revenue

Derrick Coleman joined the team at the Alabama Department of Revenue in 1993, beginning his career in the Vehicle Valuation Section of the Property Tax Division. Prior to being named Deputy Commissioner, Derrick served as Director of the Property Tax Division, building on his experience as a supervisor in the Real Property and Field Operations sections of the division. As Deputy Commissioner, Derrick is responsible for overseeing Income Tax Audit and Appeals, Financial Operations, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Investigations. When away from the office, Derrick enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is a native of Hope Hull, Alabama, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree from The Alabama State University.

Sandy Donaldson Business & License Tax Division Alabama Department of Revenue

Sandy Donaldson started her career with the Alabama Department of Revenue in January 2003 in the Business & License Tax Division. She is currently a Revenue Tax Accountant/Auditor III in the Tobacco Tax Section where she was previously responsible for administering state tobacco excise taxes. Sandy played an integral role in the design and has been responsible for maintaining the Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) Products Directory since its inception in 2022.

Timothy Sanders

Sales Use & Business Tax Division Alabama Department of Revenue

Timothy Sanders began working with the Alabama Department of Revenue in 2002. He began his career in the Audit and Field Administration Section of the Sales and Use Tax Division. Timothy would work in the Sales and Use Tax Division as a Revenue Examiner until 2015. At that time, Timothy would become a Revenue Research Analyst in the Tax Policy and Governmental Division of the Alabama Department of Revenue. Timothy would return to the Sales and Use Tax Division in 2021, where he would serve as the Hearings Officer before being named Assistant Director of the Sales and Use Tax Division in 2023. As the Assistant Director of the Sales and Use Tax Division, Timothy is responsible for overseeing Tax Administration, Audit and Field Administration, Central Office Logistics, Special Projects, and Local Tax Administration. Timothy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Auburn University at Montgomery.

Amber Moore Director, Trade Advocacy, & Industry Engagement Altria Group Distributing Company

Amber currently leads the national Trade Advocacy team at Altria. This team is responsible for building partnerships with our retailers, distributors, and trade associations across the country, and provide activation resources that support amplifying their voices in Local, State, and Federal issues. Amber has worked for Altria Group Distribution Company for over 11 years. She started as a sales manager in Jackson, Tennessee and has held many manager and account manager roles including Unit Manager in South Carolina, Account Manager in North and South Carolina, Key Account Manager for Rite Aid and QuickChek, Senior Account Manager for 7-Eleven Horizon, Senior Market Manager in Central PA, and Senior Manager of Accounts in the Mid Atlantic.
