LaQuisha Buggs is responsible for leading a team of project managers and engineers to support our customers in meeting their sustainability goals by providing offerings in the area of electrification, renewables, energy efficiency, and resiliency. LaQuisha began her career with Alabama Power Company in 1997 as a student intern while attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon graduation, LaQuisha started in Alabama Power’s EIT program in Birmingham Division. She has over 20 years in Power Delivery and has served in a number of functional areas including Distribution, Transmission Planning, Maintenance, Operations and Project Management. Transmission Vice President. LaQuisha joined the Customer Services Organization in June 2019 and has been serving in a formal leadership role for the past 16 years. During this time, she has gained the experience to grow and develop a results-oriented and customer focused team. LaQuisha earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1998 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2003 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also a 2021 graduate of Alabama Power’s Executive Leadership Development Program and a 2024 graduate of Leadership Trussville. A native of Birmingham, AL, LaQuisha lives in Trussville with her husband Bernard and daughter Lauryn. She serves with iCan: Girls in Engineering, an outreach program targeting middle school aged girls to expose them to the field of engineering. She also serves the community as a Board member for Childcare Resources and as a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy.

Matthew Petro is the President of LED Solutions, where he leads the company's mission to deliver innovative, energy-efficient lighting systems to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients across the country. Under his leadership, LED Solutions has expanded its reach and impact, helping organizations reduce energy costs, improve sustainability, and modernize their facilities through advanced lighting technologies. Prior to joining LED Solutions, Matthew spent eight years as Chief Development Officer at Retail Strategies, where he oversaw strategic growth initiatives and partnership development. His background in marketing and business development supports his forward-thinking approach to energy solutions.

Matthew holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) and is a licensed real estate broker. He brings a strong track record of leadership, innovation, and client-focused service to the evolving LED and energy efficiency space. Living in Birmingham with his wife and three kids, Matthew clings to two hobbies—guitar and golf—that remain more about hope than results.
