Terri has served on many nonprofit boards, including the National Psoriasis Foundation where she served as Treasurer; the Atlanta Regional Council; Jewish Family & Career Services; Hands on Atlanta (where she served as Chair;) the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation; and Visiting Nurse Health System/Hospice Atlanta. Terri is a member of several professional associations, including the American Public Health Association and the American Society of Association Executives. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and professional gatherings, including the Council on Foundations, the Board Source Leadership Forum, Grantmakers in the Arts, the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the Council of Volunteer Administrators. She has been interviewed by numerous industry publications and is the author of two books: Nonprofit Business Plan Development: From Vision, Mission, and Values to Implementation, and Succession Planning for Nonprofit Leadership: Steps to Ensuring Your Organization’s Future. Ronald Wakefield began working with the intellectual and developmental disability community in 1982 for a program administered by Temple University in Pennsylvania. He began as a direct care worker and was quickly promoted to supervisor of direct care services. Ron advanced in his career over the next two decades serving individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities before moving to Georgia in 2005. He worked as a case expeditor in DBHDD’s Region 3, then as a regional service administrator in Region 1 before being promoted to director of field operations. In February 2017, Ron was asked to serve as director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University and many certifications for developmental disability services.
